Perfect+AttackRelease the counter during the green flash
Follow the glowing objective marker. Danger shows on the ground: an orange lane is a monster about to charge, a red circle is a bite, and a filling red lane or dashed lines mark exactly where a Boss is about to strike. When the fill reaches the end, the attack lands — step out, or dodge through it. Every Boss locks its warning onto the place it is about to strike. Chain three Leafblade swings, hold the Comet Hammer for a stronger smash, and dash through an attack to open a short green counter window—press Attack before it closes.
Read the badge above each monster — it names the one thing that breaks its guard, and it lights up when you are holding the answer. The pink Heartleaf Shrine beside every chapter's starting point restores up to 3 hearts and 45 energy; approach it and press E/Enter or tap Use on iPad. It blooms again after a short rest. Elite titles reveal their special power: they may split, resist ordinary hits, phase away, regrow, unleash storms, or summon help. Spend monster drops in the Portal Forge for permanent weapon improvements. From Chapter 3 some runes are chained to a guard: clear the monster on the other end of the red thread before the rune will light. From Chapter 5, attacking out of a dash becomes a Skyfall strike, and Bird starts circling any comic memory you have missed. Bosses save a signature attack for their last third. In Chapter 7, survive three distinct waves before the final boss appears.
